Navarro, an All Star in 2008 with the Rays, has not been able to best a .276 OBP in each of his last 3 seasons. Mark Sheldon guesses it's a depth signing, but the above-minimum investment and recent spring training decisions involving surprise veterans breaking camp make this not entirely certain.
