Dita Von Teese Strikes Out at OK! Magazine Over Evan Rachel Wood Story

Last night, Fashion Group International held its Night of Stars Awards in New York City, where milliner Stephen Jones was among the designers honored. Dita Von Teese was on-hand to present Jones his accolade, outfitted, of course, in one of his whimsical headpieces. From most accounts, it seems like it was a fun, peaceful evening - but the roster of A-listers became fodder for a tabloid story or two.

Evan Rachel Wood, the young actress who is believed to have played a major role in Von Teese's divorce from rocker Marilyn Manson, was also making her red carpet rounds. It's not clear if Wood and Von Teese have ever interacted, but OK Magazine tried its hardest to make it seem as if they had -albeit indirectly, in an article titled "Dita Von Teese, Evan Rachel Wood Share Awkward Run-in":
Moments after Gwen Stefani’s amicable breakup ode "Cool" plays, smug Evan Rachel Wood struts through posing for photographers at 7:45 p.m. Navigating through a maze of reporters – chatting with some, and not with others – she boldly sidles right up beside Dita, 37, who is busy chatting away. At 7:50 p.m., the burlesque babe cups her hands to her face and scatters as soon as she realizes the girl who ruined her happy life is inches away when flashbulbs start popping.
The reporter, Valerie Nome, then goes on to describe Dita tearing up when asked about her divorce from Manson.

Needless to say, Ms. Von Teese was not particularly happy with the report. She fired back at the magazine via Twitter, writing:
The theme for The Night of Stars event last night was "Storytelling"... I would like to send out a big SUCK IT to OK magazine for taking the theme to an especially low level with their report on me. I had a fabulous time and was very honored to be there presenting an award to my dear friend Stephen Jones. I have absolutely no sadness, anger or animosity regarding any elements of my divorce that occurred 3 years ago. I've moved on, and the media should do the same. SHAME on OK magazine for publicizing such a malicious and false story. The proof is in the pictures...my black eyeliner is in perfect place. More pictures of Dita Von Teese:
