Dodge Charger

Now that SEMA 2009 is behind us, we can all bask in the glory of the awesome cars there. This one, according to my source, is one that has no glory, and could be labeled “Worst in Show”. The Dodge Charger R/T comes in an ugly shade of orange, and strange scissor doors [...]  

Among the news from today's New New Chrysler briefing was this slide of the 2012 Dodge Charger. The design is so good it apparently made Ralph Giles weep with joy. Look familiar? There's a reason... This image reveals a sloping belt line and strong curve building from the front to the shoulders, reminiscent of the 1999 Dodge RT Charger Concept (below) it seems to borrow heavily from. We're also told the new Charger initially had rear door...  

Expected to hit the market in late 2010 as a 2011 or 2012 model, the redesigned Dodge Charger was previewed today during Chrysler’s five-year product plan announcement. Reminiscent of the 1999 Dodge Charger Concept, the car is expected to combine qualities of the present retro model with the more modern show car that preceded it. [...]  

With the current Dodge lineup marked for split from the Ram Trucks line, the existing products will need a revamping to match the new, more lithe, brand image. To that end, the Dodge Charger will get a full update for 2011, a hint of which was previewed in Chrysler's five-year plan this morning, and spotted by Fox Car Report's Gary ..  

While reading the Chrysler Group's five-year product plan (see details here) on the Dodge brand's future model line-up, we found these two photos that appear to be depicting the profile and the instrument panel of the new 2011 Charger rear-wheel drive sedan that will be launched onto the market sometime next year. We don't yet have confirmation that the picture does indeed show the new Charger, but if it does, then it looks like that the four...
