Dogs will be available for adoption again at Palm Beach County's animal shelter on Thursday, more than two weeks after an outbreak of a canine virus forced animal control officials to stop the program. The county halted dog adoptions on Oct. 24, after two dogs tested positive for canine respiratory coronavirus, an illness similar to kennel cough that is highly contagious.
