Good Morning: Well, here it is, the 17th day of December. Only a few more days until Christmas and I've yet to buy a single Christmas gift. Money has been extra tight over the last few months, so we are doing a "Christmas Simple". Meaning, less gifts and less expensive gifts. I won't even start my shopping until this Friday. Normally, I am well on my way to being done with my shopping by now. This has been an unusual Christmas season so far...But, I do think that we've been able to enjoy the season for what it is, rather than being caught up ... Read Full Story

Good Morning Bloggers: Monday is upon us, which leaves another 6 days to start anew. There's a fresh feeling in the air this morning, almost Fall, but not quite. My daughter is already making her grand plans for the Halloween season, but I'm still dreaming of the beach and the warmth of the summer sun. Yesterday afternoon we took my mom to dinner for her 80th birthday and had a great time. She ordered Prime Rib and the restaurant brought her an ice cream sundae to celebrate. She received a little birthday money in the mail last week, and she's decided what she wants ... Read Full Story

Good Morning: It's that time of year once again....the dreaded beginning of "Spring Cleaning". Grout cleaning, appliance shining, doo-dad dusting and all sorts of other laborious tasks. I always enter into the season dreading the big cleaning, but once I get started, I find myself re-connecting to my home. I have so many pieces around my house that were passed down to me from my mom and aunts. Old tea sets from my grandmother, whom I never met, as she died before I was born. Nic-Nacs given to me by my kids when they were tots. So many memories surround me, yet so much ... Read Full Story

Good Morning: I'm off for a busy day of running around. But...I wanted to stop by and post a picture of my newest original ACEO. This is my 201st collage ACEO. Most of what I list on Etsy are prints of long ago sold ACEOs. I've been in such a slump for the last 6 months or so, I hardly ever find myself in my studio. But, I felt like working this week, and I managed to finish an original ~ Sister May And Her Guardian As some of you know, I have been semi-obsessed with this particular photo for some time: And...I've used ... Good Morning: Well, it's been over a week since I've made my way to my blog. Filling the big, white, and blank page seems such a heavy task, yet when I do have the words, I enjoy it so. Although I haven't many words lately, I have managed to finish two new collages. They are both listed in My Etsy Shop. The first collage is a second piece in my "Fiona" series. It's a 5" x 7" on canvas: FASHIONABLE FIONA The second collage is another in my "Rabbit" series. It's a 4" x 6" on canvas and I like to classify it as ... Read Full Story

Good Morning: Wow, it's been a busy couple of weeks, with no time left for my morning blog. I have a fairly calm week planned, so I am hoping to have some extra time to catch up with all of my blog friends. Here in the Southern California desert, we are wrapped in smoke from the many wildfires crackling out of control. The Santa Ana winds blew hard all weekend and have left the streets littered with debris. Once the winds have stopped, we will be in for quite a clean up. The back patio is covered in a thin film of grime and ... Read Full Story
