Dom Deluise 1933-2009

It saddens me deeply today to report that the truly gifted funnyman Dom Deluise has died at the age of 75, according to TMZ . Yeah, I know this has little do with horror. OK, the guy was in Haunted Honeymoon, and his last movie will be Horrorween, due out in October--how's that? Besides, in the words of my illustrious colleague BJ-C --my blog, my rules. This one gets to me because I have a personal connection with the man. Growing up on 67th Street and 12th Avenue in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn... Read Full Story

A word about weight

From:  leewochner.com
Picking up on something I saw on Mark Evanier’s blog about Dom DeLuise: In 2002, I was executive producer of the Ovation Awards here in Los Angeles. The director of the show suggested we invite Dom DeLuise to be one of the presenters. I loved Dom DeLuise’s work, but I had concerns. As delicately as I could ask (and I’m sure I could have been more tactful), I wanted to know how he was going to be able to get on and off the stage. The man was massive. He could barely walk. How was his health... Read Full Story

Dom DeLuise Has Died at 75

Life can be funny and ironic. And also very sad on a day like today. While there, I was introduced to some other producers who had a TV idea that seemed very interesting and different. Immediately, I was drawn to the idea, and I decided to get involved. It was a TV Pilot and idea for a show called the “Un-Invited... Read Full Story
