Donald Frank “Don” Cheadle (born November 29, 1964) is an American actor, film producer, philanthropist, and author. Cheadle rose to prominence for his supporting roles in the Steven Soderbergh-directed films Out of Sight, Traffic, and Ocean’s Eleven. In 2004, his lead role as Rwandan hotel manager Paul Rusesabagina in the genocide drama film Hotel Rwanda earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. The ICC prosecutor has applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. Bashir on charges of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. It isn't that I want to lay guilt at anyone's heart who already desires to help end the genocide on the Darfuri people of Sudan. I just want us "Not to Forget" . It is so easy to forget because our news media has chosen to NOT REPORT THE DARFUR CRISIS. You can however still catch the well-done HBO documentary film, Sand and Sorrow , as it is repeatedly aired. George Clooney and Don Cheadle will receive the Peace Summit Award in December. The award was given based on the work the two actors have done on behalf of Darfur. Both actors can be seen in the film Darfur Now. It’s nice to see celebrities use their status for something positive.
