George Michael Affronts Dr. Phil at His Concert

George Michael must have been taking cues from the cattier Boy George & Elton John. At his concert Wednesday night in Los Angeles, George pointed out Dr. Phil (who was in the audience with his wife), and then added to the audience's boos, "No this is too mean... in the sea of smiling faces, he's
looked miserable for the last hour."
Yes, Dr. Phil is an annoying know-it-all hack, but if you're throwing a concert, it's almost like hosting a dinner party. Can you imagine insulting and causing embarrassment to a dinner guest? George Michael has really sunken to new lows. Then again...
The one-time golden boy of pop seems to have become rather bitter with the loss of his fame and youthful good looks, and has sought solace in habitual drug use and prowling for the love of strangers in dark, cruisy parks.
Perhaps he was just reacting to Dr. Phil's disapproval like a child does to a school yard crush. After all, on one of the rare occasions he still makes news, he was coming out of the bushes with a then 58-year-old unemployed, pot-bellied van driver. Très elegant!
