Here are the first pictures of the live action Dragonball movie. This movie is apparently going to be a prequel to the, not to be confused with, Dragonball Z series.

Piccolo will be the big baddie in the movie stealing a Dragon Ball from the father of Bulma , and hasn’t become a good guy yet, for those of you familiar or somewhat familiar with the Anime or Game franchises.

Justin Chatwin will be Dragon Balls main protagonist, Goku. Chatwin has most recently been seen in the movie The Invisible, and on the small screen in ABC’s Lost and Showtime’s Weeds

Emily Rossum from latest remake of Phantom Of The Opera will play Bulma who is the smart girl, the love interest of Vegeta and mother of Trunks (both who may not appear in the movie).

James Marsters (who is pretty awesome) of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel,and various other projects will be Piccolo, the baddie mentioned above.

Jamie Chung will be Chi-Chi, who is Goku’s love interest. Chung gained spotlight from MTV’s Real World: San Diego, and has appear in CSI:NY, and the movie, I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry, and various other roles.

Dragonball will be a hard translation to make to live action from the cartoon, but it can be done successfully. Now we have to wait to find out. No doubt Anime fans are going to be excited.
