You would think that with the rash of injuries to quarterbacks in the National Football League as of late, that former NFL QB Drew Bledsoe would at least have a passing interest (pun unintended) in possibly suiting up for the 2007 season. Not so fast, people. According to Mike reiss of the Boston Globe, Bledsoe has no intentions whatsoever of playing in the NFL anytime soon. Quarterback Drew Bledsoe, who lost his starting job with the Cowboys to Tony Romo in 2006, has decided to retire. Bledose played 14 seasons in the NFL. Bledsoe was the first overall draft pick in 1993 by the New England Patriots and he led the team to Super Bowl XXXI, a loss to Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers. Bledsoe may be more known for getting hurt in New England -- an injury that allowed Tom Brady to get off the bench and play and understandly, Bledsoe never got his job back.
