There's another new judge in former Illinois police officer Drew Peterson's murder case. Chief Judge Gerald Kinney granted a defense request Monday to replace Judge Carla Alessio-Policandriotes (pahl-ee-KAN'-dree-oh-tihs). The case will now be handled by Judge Stephen White. It was only last month that Alessio-Policandriotes was named to replace another judge, that time at the prosecutor's request. Former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson was arrested this afternoon in connection with the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, according to authorities.
On March 1, 2004, Savio, 40, was discovered by neighbors in her Bolingbrook home in an empty bathtub with a 1-inch gash on the back of her scalp.
