Neha Oberoi: Only hard work pays in Bollywood !!

Director Sanjay Gupta’s niece and budding actress Neha Oberoi, who features in the upcoming film "Woodstock Villa", does not believe that having connections in Bollywood helps in the long run.

"In the film industry nobody would guide you just because you are the son or daughter of some celebrity. In the long run, only hard work and an actor’s acting skills help," Neha told IANS on phone from Mumbai.

"In fact, it becomes more difficult because viewers’ expectations increase manifold," she added.

Hansal Mehta’s "Woodstock Villa" is an action-thriller and the launch pad of Kirron Kher’s son Sikander Kher.

In the film, Neha plays the role of an aspiring model, Reshma, who can go to any extent to reach her goal fast.

She said: "Working with Hansal and Sikander was a wonderful experience. Sikander is very professional and full of energy all the time, which keeps your spirits high as well.

"And Hansal has loads of patience. Both of us were newcomers, but he never lost his cool, which is very important. Hats off to him," said Neha, who last appeared in "Dus Kahaniyaan".

While Neha is relatively new in Bollywood, she had featured in the Telugu film "Balu" and even won the Filmfare award for her performance.

Commenting on the difference between Hindi and regional language films, she said: "Because of a different language, you have to put in lots of hard work in a regional film, while it is much easier to do a Bollywood film. So as soon as I got the offer I grabbed it."

Neha will also wow audiences in the film "Easy Monthly Instalments" (EMI).

"I think I am lucky! I am doing films that are completely different from each other. Also, I don’t want to be typecast."
