Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney will miss Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. Freeney was out of practice all week with an abdomen injury for the Colts, who have won 19 consecutive regular-season games. Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney is inactive for Sunday's game in Houston with an abdominal injury. Colts defensive back Kelvin Hayden (knee) and wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez (knee) join Freeney on the inactive list. Raheem Brock is set to start for Freeney. The Colts also signed defensive end Josh Thomas this week.  

The Indianapolis Colts have waived defensive end Josh Thomas and defensive back Anthony Madison. Both were waived Tuesday after signing with the Colts to add depth to a defense hit by several injuries. Thomas rejoined the team last week when Indy wasn't sure if four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney could play with an abdominal injury at Houston.  

Before I get to this week's post, I'd like to clear up something from last week that I didn't get to address in the comments because I was out of town all weekend.  When I said that I was thankful that Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis don't rotate in and out like most other linemen, that was overstatement.  They do rotate in and out like most other linemen, but they don't rotate nearly as much as other linemen and they burn a lot more energy...

As the NFL's lone unbeaten team, the Indianapolis Colts will have even more of a spotlight on how they approach their final two games of the regular season. They recognize that, but their mantra won't change: winning the Super Bowl is the goal. The Colts returned to practice Monday after a long weekend of rest and relaxation.
