The Bears announced that wide receiver Earl Bennett has been signed to  a four-year contract extension . Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago  originally reported the extension , which will keep Bennett in Chicago through the 2015 season. According to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times,  the extension is worth $18 million  and includes $9 million in guarantees. A Bears fan sent wide receiver Earl Bennett a check worth $100 to Bennett today for his recent fines. Bennett was fined recently for his bright orange shoes that were said to be not part of the normal uniform by NFL officials. Bennett tweeted this picture of the check earlier today.
