This blog is focused on the "New Time Paradigm". It's back to basics and it's time to focus on things that count. The foundation of this blog stems from the new book Forget The 7 Habits and Break All The Rules. "Some of the old time management strategies do not fit today's high intensity, rapidly changing, fast-paced environment."

Prioritize!

Prioritizing is one of the most important factors in time management. In this world where everything seems to be in a fast forward mode, it's very easy to lose track and miss out on important things, you'll find yourself with both hands full of things to do. Sometimes, you wont even know where to start!

But, how do we prioritize? Before you can even begin prioritizing your work, you have to know where you are going first. What are your goals? What is it that you want to achieve? When, do you want them achieved? Once you have a clear path in your mind, then you can go ahead and think of the things you need to do in order to reach your target.You can identify what to do first by classifying them according to their importance and relevance to your goal, focus yourself in doing the most important things first and make sure you finish them before you go on to your next task.

Prioritizing things will make you feel in control and more satisfied in the things you do, because you know that what you are doing is contributing to your ultimate goal. Prioritizing could be hard sometimes, there are a lot of different factors that will make you lose focus. Whenever this happens, stop! pause for a moment and re-think your priorities, think about where you left off, what tasks were you unable to do? Then, start getting back on track.

Prioritizing entails a huge amount of discipline, but when it is already in your system, it will all be a breeze for you. All you will be doing is reaping the rewards of being the most productive person on the job!
