How can there still be 50,000 who follow Eckankar?  Now they are borrowing terms from Catholic Eucharist like "consecretion" and "The Holy Spirit" when in fact they despise Christianity.  That is how they lure people in. They are so clever, in fact, that is the only thing they seem to do wrong.

Actually, there are more people who follow Eckankar, because it works for them (obviously not for you). Eckankar is all about encouraging people (not in Eckankar) to follow what ever is best for them, Christianity, Buddhism, or being in nature, etc. The writings of Eckankar recognize Jesus as a spiritual teacher, a source of love and upliftment for countless people. Eckankar is that for me, it changed my life for the better, and made me a much happier person. My life was dull and kind of sad before, now I look forward to getting up in the morning. It makes me feel good inside myself, and the people in Eckankar are good company. It was what I was looking for, it is not for everybody. People in Eckankar believe everyone has a right to believe the way they choose. We would never try to lure anybody in or be clever about it, because it would be against what we believe in (freedom). People I know joined because they saw the changes in me, and wanted to try it out. That is usually how it happens, or people see a poster, or the website. We would never "try" to get people to join, it has to come from them. Also, why would people stay in it, if they did not think it best for them? All the best to you.
