Ed McMahon is an American comedian, game show host, announcer and TV personality. He's well known for his work as Johnny Carson's announcer on Who Do You Trust? and on the Tonight Show. He also hosted the show Star Search from 1962 to 1992.

Ed McMahon, the sidekick of Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show for 30 years, has died at age 86.McMahon started in radio, but hid his stride as the straight man to Johnny Carson on the late night standard.
In 2008, Ed shocked the world as he became the most famous victim of foreclosure, having overextended himself and falling behind on his payments on his multimillion dollar house in California.
He also was a litigant in several lawsuits due to mold and injuries.
He recently appeared in a Superbowl commercial advertising gold for cash.
