Fact: Steady state cardio sucks for fat loss. Yep I said it! This doesn't mean it's an excuse to hang up your trainers and sit on your sofa. If you don't believe me for example we'll use Eddie Izzard. For those of you that don't know Eddie Izzard ran over 1110 miles. Take a look at the before and after pictures - they aren't that different! Now what he did was a fantastic achievement and he raised a lot of money for sport relief and I'm sure it must have been a really difficult and rewarding challenge. Read Full Story

AMONG the stars of the BBC's upcoming remake of The Day of the Triffids is the comedian and actor Eddie Izzard. Izzard, now 47, made a relatively late screen debut in Damien Hirst's 1996 short film Hanging Around and is the first to admit he hasn't received any formal acting training. He considers his starring role on the American TV series The Riches as his "drama school". The Hollywood writers' strike in 2007 and 2008 halted filming and despite the series' success, it was never picked up again once the strike ended so Izzard is hoping to do a film version instead. Although he ... Read Full Story

Comedian and actor Eddie Izzard has been honored for his marathon trek through the UK this summer. Eddie ran 43 (FORTY-THREE!!!!!) marathons in nearly as many days this summer to raise money for Comic Relief organization. January 4th, 2009 by Rosy Eddie Izzard is my hero. Seriously. I am so impressed when celebrities go out of their way to do the right thing for their fans. North Londoner Will Pike sadly became a victim of the Mumbai terror attacks in November. His hotel was ambushed by terrorists while him and his girlfriend Kelly Doyle were on vacation at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. While recovering from his injuries in a South London hospital after falling from a makeshift rope he made from his bedsheets to attempt an escape. The 28-year-old broke three of his vertebrae, both his arms and shattered ... Read Full Story

The BBC has created a miniseries remake of "Day of the Triffids" (clips and images can be seen here). The original is regarded as a classic B-movie based on a novel by John Wyndham. It's been years since I saw the film, so going into the new version, all I recalled was that the Triffids were carnivorous plants, almost every human gets blinded, and the plants make some kind of weird knocking noise to let you know they're coming to eat you. It...
