Kansas City Chiefs Mock Draft Tracker - #6
I get more and more worked up the more I see Vernon Gholston's name in the top five. I don't have anything against him -- he's a great player. But his draft position is apparently rising because of...what exactly? Has he played in another college game besides the Senior Bowl? Nope. This is the BS that happens around draft time. Player's draft positions move around because, well, it's a flavor of the week deal. It's all hype. Watch what the player did in college and don't look too deep into the Combine/Senior Bowl stuff.
Cat Crave Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio St. -- His stock is rising fast. The Chiefs can use his speed off the corner.
The NFL House Brodie Croyle struggled mightily this season, but that wasn't all his fault. His receivers couldn't get open, his team had trouble running the ball, and his O-Line couldn't block anyone. I have a feeling that the Chiefs won't give up on Croyle just yet, and a gifted LT like Ryan Clady might be the difference between 5-11 and 9-7.Track guys can run a sub 4.4 forty yard dash. Look at what a player did on the field.
