Rocker Eddie Van Halen married Janie Liszewski in a lavish wedding ceremony in California on Saturday evening. Eddie Van Halen and Janie Liszewski held their wedding in the backyard of Van Halen’s estate in the hills above Studio City on Saturday night. Halen and Liszewski, who have been dating three years, married in front of about 100 guests. Here is a weird bit of sneaker related news.  Eddie Van Halen has filed a lawsuit against Nike accusing them of using the copyrighted Van Halen stripes on a recent special edition of Nike Dunk Lows.  These stripes were made famous on his “Frankenstein” guitar which is pictured below.  A spokeswoman from Nike INC. states that “Nike has not referenced the ‘Van Halen’ name or image as part of any marketing campaign or promotional material associated with the shoe". Eddie Van Halen is recovering after undergoing surgery to correct some problems in his left hand. Van Halen had developed pain in his left pinky and thumb, which progressively worsened until the digits locked up entirely. Upon seeing a specialist, it was discovered that Van Halen suffered from a "bone spur, twisted tendon and a cyst in the joint of his left thumb."
