The Arizona Cardinals released running back Edgerrin James with one year remaining on his contract, a development expected since late in the season. The team also announced Tuesday that it released cornerback Rod Hood and defensive end Travis LaBoy. James had 794 carries for 2,895 yards and 16 touchdowns in his three seasons in Arizona. We’re down to two. Edgerrin James was shown the door yesterday, leaving the Seahawks with only Julius Jones and Justin Forsett as the only two running backs on the team’s 53-man roster. However, come season’s end, there could be additional shakeups. Julius Jones only has 346 yards and one touchdown on the ground this year.
