Dame Eileen Atkins has signed on for one-off ITV play The Scapegoat.
The 77-year-old actress will star alongside Matthew Rhys in the adjustment of Daphne du Maurier’s novel.
Atkins went forth her part as Lady Holland on Upstairs Downstairs on DVD in Aug after one serial, theoretically due to issues with the BBC play’s playscript.
Meanwhile, Rhys is best known for acting Kevin Walker in the US serial Brothers and Sisters.

Dame Eileen Atkins has got out Upstairs Downstairs DVD .
The actress helped to design the genuine series and appeared on CRT screen as Lady Holland when the show was revivified last year.
However, she has determined not to reprize her part when the new edition of Upstairs Downstairs DVD goes back for its second series, BBC News reports.
Hearsays have hinted that Atkins determined to go forth the projection because she was distressed with the playscripts.
