Elisangela was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is the oldest of three children. Her parents owned and operated a recycling center there. As a child Elisangela always knew she wanted to be an actress and dreamed of one day performing in Hollywood. Growing up she performed in many stage productions. Although famous in Brazil, when the model Elisangela, whose full name is Elisangela Silva, came to Boston seven years ago she was a relative unknown.
