I have read most of the coverage of the Elizabeth/John/Rielle show with the kind of revulsion I usually reserve for guts and gore. But I have to admit, when I read this morning that Elizabeth Edwards may be gearing up for divorce, it seemed like one of the saner responses to the whole sorry saga. (The story should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism, of course. Though the National Enquirer has been accurate thus far with the Edwards...

John Edwards is putting up Rielle Hunter—and the daughter he fathered with her—in $6,550-a-month, 3,600-square-foot seaside home just down the beach from the Edwards' Wilmington, N.C., mansion, the National Enquirer reports. Again. Back in August, the Enquirer unleashed a BOMBSHELL EXCLUSIVE: "John Edwards is moving the mother of his love child into his North Carolina neighborhood and will help raise their baby." After failing—or is it passing...

Elizabeth Edwards recently told a local news station that her husband, John Edwards, is still a world-class bullshit artist. Not in those words, exactly, but when you consider that Edwards almost definitely fathered a child with Rielle Hunter and even (allegedly) told the Overboard extra that the Dave Matthews Band would play at their rooftop wedding once the missus had died, you have to look askance at lines like this: "John said, 'Perhaps...

You really have to pity Elizabeth Edwards. Terminally ill and married to a two-timing bum, it seems she's been reduced to anonymously trashing Rielle Hunter in comments left under a pseudonym on blogs. For months now, Elizabeth, who is said to be talking to a divorce lawyer, also has been sniping at Hunter - painting her as a blackmailing gold digger - in blog comments where she uses the pseudonym
