Kids-they grow up so gosh darn fast! It seems like just yesterday Emma Watson was a wide eyed little girl casting spells as Hermione in Harry Potter. Fast forward a few years and she has become a celebrated fashion darling, getting snapped by the biggest names in fashion (Karl Lagerfeld and Ellen Von Unwerth among others, tyvm). Now she's even landed a lucrative deal with fashion house Burberry, staring in a series of ads for the brand. Christopher Bailey, creative director of the brand says that when it came time to choose a new spokeswoman, Emma was the natural choice. “Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge,” says Bailey. He also admits that it was a conscious decision to choose the young Emma (who is just 19), as she reflects a youthful yet mature quality that is synonymous with the brand. “I wanted the images to represent both the rich history and the modernity of the Burberry brand whilst at the same time reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today.”
