Just because someone makes up a lie and puts it on the internet, does not make it true. Where is any proof of this drunk girl's accuations?
Emily Carlson was not on trial here.
This was the trial of a woman who was caught driving with a blood alcohol level of .29.
She made wild accusations on the stand in order to escape the concequences.
By law, she is protected on the stand and can say whatever lies she wants.
However, the police investigated what she said, and thought it was riduiculous.
Neither Carlson nor Ninomiya were charged with any crimes. In fact, they were there at the trial at the request of the prosecution to counter her claims.

By sindenjo on  From mrclawoffice.blogspot.com
Just back from APSA--where I saw, among other stuff, an awesome panel on the Civil War and Constitutional Change chaired by Sanford Levinson--and returning to reading the blogs after a few days away. I see that a former student's lawsuit against St. Thomas School of Law in Miami has generated some attention. The complaint alleges ( ¶ ¶ 25-26) that St. Thomas devised a plan to expell students in the bottom quarter of the class with the intention of boosting its low bar pass rate. (Not much...Read Full Story

Recess is one of education’s great inventions, giving youth a chance to burn off excess energy before returning to their classroom regimen. Two sides of the courtyard are bordered by high brick wall stopped with barbed wire – no real surprise because barbed and razor wire...Read Full Story
