Rome

Rome, ahh Rome. One of my favorite cities. Charming, old, romantic, lovely. Gelatto, the Vatican, Trevi fountain, and the Spanish steps. Amazing. The language is beautiful and the people are very friendly. I think all I did the whole time I was there was eat. Pizza, gelato, linguini and clams... yum. I had the best meals of my life in Italy. A week and so many things to do. Walk everywhere... mass at the Vatican, the Coliseum, there is charm everywhere you go in Rome. The only thing I didn't do while I was there was step inside a musem. There is no need! Just walk around the city and find the beauty. The buildings ARE art. Trevi fountain is one big sculpture! Make sure you sit and enjoy it... and toss in a coin. Oh... and my favorite gelatto is somewhere in that square. Wish I could remember the name of the place. Get pistachio. The best meal was just around the corner from the Spanish steps. Charming outdoor dining with lights everywhere... the wait was really really long... but SO worth it! Really good bread. How can you wrong in Rome? Make sure to go to the Sunday morning mass at the Vatican. The pope comes out on the balcony and speaks to the crowd... even if you're not religious... go. You feel something.. I don't know, moving when you're there. The whole city is amazing. A MUST on a Europe trip.
