Dublin Another one of my stops on my study abroad trip. I loved this trip because we went on a student bus tour. Yes, hole in the wall hostels. Yes, bad showers. But... 200 percent fun! We had a really attractive looking leader, we sang songs on the bus, and we went to every little pub along the way! This picture is of Dublin castle, which is right in the middle of the city. The best part of out trip was that we were in Dublin ON St. Patrick's Day! We flew in in the morning, and people were... Read Full Story
Florida is a warm, lovely state and St. Petersburg is a quaint, old jewel. The weather, the architecture, and especially the beaches. The sand at the Don Cesar at St. Pete beach is amazing. I could sit there all day and run my feet through the light sand. Then there's downtown and the Baywalk, the many galleries with lots of local artists' work, and the excellent food. There are so many unusual and interesting things to do in the city. Beach, shopping, old architecture and good eats... and... Read Full Story
Scotland! Emily Carlson went to Scotland during her study abroad program. I LOVED Scotland. It was like stepping back into medieval times. Castles everywhere! I really enjoyed visiting Edinburgh Castle. You can't miss it! It's right on a hill in the middle of downtown, and the views are amazing. It's worth the entrance fee. The charm of Edinburgh is undeniable. From the men in kilts playing the bagpipes to the cozy pubs with excellent service, I loved this trip. There's even a Starbucks... Read Full Story
Barcelona Emily Carlson traveled to Barcelona on her 6 month study abroad overseas. Barcelona was amazing.. I loved the sangria, Picasso museum, and the quaint cobblestone streets. My friends and I were able to walk almost everywhere in Barcelona. Although some places were quite a hike, we managed to get everywhere by foot. My favorite part of the trip was the Gaudi architecture. In particular La Sagrada Familia was amazing... (we actually climbed to the top) Park Guell was art decco looking... Read Full Story
Vail is one of the most charming U.S cities I have ever been to. Vail reminds me of a rural European cities, it could be somewhere in Switzerland or Germany. I used to go to Vail every summer for skating competitions. Held at Dobson Arena, I would warm up with some of the most beautiful scenery to get me ready for my short and long programs. After the competition was over, my family and I would hike up the mountains, and enjoy the breath taking views. The shops in the center of town were... Read Full Story
Seattle. Home of Starbucks and rain. A vibrant, fun city with lots of great shopping and eating. Seattle is a seafood haven with amazing restaurants with every kind of fish you would ever want to try. Seattle has 8 million coffee shops (well, not really) but at least three on every street. I remember standing at a Starbucks downtown, and I could see 3 other Starbucks, and 2 Seattle's Best's. Seattle is one caffinated city. I really enjoyed Fisherman's Warf, where one of the fishmongers... Read Full Story
London London is where I lived for 6 months. I LOVE LONDON. It was a nice transition into Europe because obviously, the language is English in England! The best plus of London is the FREE museums. I went to one every week, and I still didn't get to all of them! I loved the ease of getting around on the Tube, but I especially loved HARROD'S. I had to cut myself off from going there, cause I was spending too much money. Not that I could afford 90% of the things there! The best meal I had in... Read Full Story

It's a city in the middle of California, so not it's not going to be as popular as San Francisco or Los Angeles or San Diego, but Fresno is a great place to visit. It's very warm, pleasant with lots of parks. I really enjoyed Fresno. It's a medium sized city, great suburbs and lots of Starbucks! It was really funny. I saw Starbucks everywhere, and I got to try the great fare of Jack in the Box. Tacos, burgers, sandwiches, Jack in the Box was very, um, interesting. There was a very pretty... Read Full Story
