Cho Seung-Hui's argument with his ex-girlfriend Emily Hilscher on Monday morning may have been what triggered the school shooting that killed 33 people (including Hilscher and Seung-hui) The school shootings began at 7am when Cho alegedly got into an argument with Emily Hilscher. BBC reports the following about Emily Hilscher , a victim of the Virginia tech shootings and ex-girlfriend of gunman Cho Seung-hui . Emily Hilscher, 19, from Woodville, Virginia, was studying animal and poultry sciences, and was known in her hometown as an animal lover. Contrary to other articles written on the matter, it has indeed been confirmed that Emily Hilscher was never in any kind of relationship with Seung-Hui Cho, the perpetrator of the Virginia Tech Massacre.
