Emma Watson Can't Even Go to a Football Game Without Being Stalked

Yeesh. You play a major role in just one enormous multi-billion dollar franchise, and all of a sudden you can't watch a football game in peace.

Emma Watson was spirited away by security as she left the game between Harvard and Brown on Friday, after she may or may not have been stalked by Harvard students rallied forth by the Ivy League school's campus magazine. The Brown University freshman caused a stir when she traveled to Cambridge to root for her school. But the real excitement came after Harvard's Voice magazine made a point of attempting to stalk the starlet while live-blogging and Tweeting the experience.

Staff members at the Voice deny that they were actually harassing the Harry Potter actress, but they found themselves on the defense after the New York Post ran a Page 6 blurb accusing them of embarking on a "campaign of Ivy League harassment." Voice editor Alisha Ramos called the accusations absurd and denied organizing a mob of gawkers to harass Emma Watson, despite a picture they claimed showed Watson leaving the game.

"There seems to be much ado about nothing over this photo and liveblog," Ramos wrote in a statement. "Understand that these live tweets were made to be intentionally outrageous and overblown. As for the photo, it was taken on happenstance — one of our photographers happened to leave the game at the same time as Emma and snapped a quick photo."

Before the game, the Voice posted on its live blog, "We will be Live-Tweetin' the game and possibly stalking Emma Watson, so keep your eyes peeled for that, too!" Tweets from soon after included, "In enemy territory. Lookin for a certain witch," and "WATSON FOUND. i repeat WATSON FOUND."

Watson, understandably, has not commented on the fiasco. For the record, Harvard beat Brown, 24-21.
