Although many people have raved out this film, I still think director Arnaud Desplechin's best film is Kings & Queen. I may say that only Catherine Deneuve, Emmanuelle Devos, and Mathieu Amalric wowed me out of the large cast. I usually like Anne Consigny, but not in this film. Honorable mention goes to Emile Berling, who is definitely turning out to be a decent actor. Read Full Story

Definitely not a great movie, it at least has a great performance by Emmanuelle Devos. The story is so trivial and boring that it reminded me of Hilary & Jackie, where you have a great actress like Emily Watson, but really not much else. Recommended for fans of Devos or Francophiles only. Read Full Story
Wild Grass, the 48th film by 87-year-old director Alain Resnais, opened the New York Film Festival last Friday. Marcy went into the theater with false hopes, expecting  a cinematic reunion between stars Matthieu Amalric and Emmanuelle Devos -- both of whom are relegated to supporting roles.
