Although many people have raved out this film, I still think director Arnaud Desplechin's best film is Kings & Queen. I may say that only Catherine Deneuve, Emmanuelle Devos, and Mathieu Amalric wowed me out of the large cast. I usually like Anne Consigny, but not in this film. Definitely not a great movie, it at least has a great performance by Emmanuelle Devos. The story is so trivial and boring that it reminded me of Hilary & Jackie, where you have a great actress like Emily Watson, but really not much else.
