A community portal about Energy drinks with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Energy drinks are beverages that are designed to give the consumer a burst of energy by using a combination of methylxanthines, B vitamins, and exotic herbal ingredients. Energy drinks commonly include caffeine, guarana, taurine, various forms of ginseng, maltodextrin, inositol, carnitine, creatine, glucuronolactone and ginkgo biloba. Some contain high levels of sugar, while most brands also offer an artificially sweetened version. Often manufacturers add a very small dose of a powerful stimulant such as carnitine, but the doses of these add-ins are usually so small that any added “boost” is purely psychological. These drinks are typically marketed towards young people, students, people'on the go' and those who play sports.

Xing tea - when you can find it, is a fantastic drink just in time for summer. Other than opening a Smirnoff Raw or an Enviga, Please try one of these instead - yes they are much bigger, but soooo much tastier too. In terms of caffeinated tea drinks, I think I may even like this better than the Arizona energy tea - if only by a small margin. This tea is all natural, and is sweetened with just honey and cane juice, so it is free of the fakiness of Splenda and the syrupiness of High Fructose... Read Full Story
If you’ve seen the over-stylized opus that is “V for Vendetta”-you have to ask yourself just how far off the Wachowski brothers’ futuristic depiction of totalitarian society in Great Britain really is. Okay, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but a couple of news items released this week concerning the dentist-loathing lot have got me wondering.
The first story involves the banning of several promotional posters for the movie Wanted , starring the interesting half of the Brangelina... Read Full Story

I’m probably going to pass out any moment here from the heat, but before my internal organs fry and my body shuts down, let me tell you about Citrus CRUNK!!! As I said earlier, its pretty hot here, so I picked up Citrus CRUNK!!! because it claims to contain real lemon lime. Hopefully, this will taste like lemonade and cool me off. After buying this drink at the local BP, I noticed something odd about the top half of the can. It reads “Energize - Replenish - Stimulate - Refresh - Invigorate... Read Full Story

For this update on Caffeine Guru, I’ve decided to try out Jolt Power Cola. It comes in a bright, shiny red can with big letters in an obnoxious font. How could anyone resist this?- their packaging screams caffeine. Jolt proudly boasts that its line of sodas (theirs some other flavors, I’ll review those later) contains “twice the caffeine of regular soda”. In reality, it packs a little more than twice. A 23.5 oz can of Jolt (pictured) contains 220mg of caffeine. Not bad! My first impression... Read Full Story
