National Treasure: Book of Secrets
Rated PG for some violence and action.
The new national treasure movie is not bad....The first one was better, but if you liked the first one you should see this one. The cast is back (which is nice to see in a
sequel) and the adventure is fresh. This time they are seeking the "city of gold" that was supposedly built by Native Americans. As a date movie this is a pretty fun flick. Any stage of the dating game could go see this movie and enjoy themselves. It is rated PG however, which means there are bound to be families in the theater with you (noisy kids). There was mom and dad sitting in front of Tony and I when we went to see this and they had 5 boys with them. Two of which got into a fight during the movie and one kept making noises throughout the film. Mood killer. But the movie was enjoyable. I would
recommend that you make sure your date has seen the first National Treasure movie and liked that one before taking them to see this one. It does help to know what happened in the first movie while watching this one. At the end of this movie you want to be treasure hunters, you want to go and explore. Use this to help you plan for your night out after the movie. We went home, but a fun night of putt putt or if you want to go all out...set up a little "treasure hunt" of your own for your date. The
possibilities there are endless!
Talking points: Government
Conspiracies, Presidential Secrets, Secret Treasure
Girl Perspective: Fun adventure movie, made me want to go find gold. Good for any stage of a relationship.
Boy Perspective: Action adventure flick with some romance, so a decent date movie. Gets your adrenaline pumping! Can open the door to a lot of creative plans post movie...
