Once

I was flipping through the HBO channels, and I stumbled upon the gem of a movie that flew under the radar last year. The Irish film, “Once.”

I have to say that the movie is so great. No a conventional “musical” in a sense, but the music is very haunting. “Falling Slowly” is my favorite song by Glen and Marketa.

I know that they are not professional actors, but I like that they are real. The dialogue was raw.

The scenes in the piano store or in the recording studio are things engrained in cinema history.
