Wasps scrum-half Eoin Reddan and Ulster centre Andrew Trimble were missing from the 27-man Ireland squad released by coach Declan Kidney here Friday for next week's Six Nations opener against France. Kidney preferred Munster teammates Tomas O'Leary and Peter Stringer over Reddan, with Trimble ceding his place to star centre Gordon D'Arcy, back in contention after recovering from a serious arm injury. D'Arcy resumed playing in December for Leinster and is in direct competition for the February 7 clash at Croke Park with Luke Fitzgerald.
