Mississippi State’s Johnthan Banks Named Semifinalist for Thorpe Award

Mississippi State junior defensive back Johnthan Banks was named one of the 15 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award on Monday. Banks leads the Mississippi State defense with five interceptions and 13 passes defended this season. Banks is tied for fifth in the country in pass breakups and is tied for third in the nation with his five picks.
