Two teenagers plotted a killing spree at a Manchester school on the 10th anniversary of the infamous Columbine High School massacre in the United States, a court heard Wednesday. Matthew Swift, 18, and Ross McKnight, 16, planned to detonate a bomb at a shopping centre and then mount a murderous rampage at Audenshaw High School, killing teachers and fellow pupils, prosecutors said. Dozens of people participated in a "lie-down" at Colorado's state Capitol Monday to demand stricter gun control and mark the 10th anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings. A circle of 13 people representing those killed at Columbine reclined on their backs before the west steps of the Capitol.
