I was out of the "office" on Friday when the Kansas City Chiefs signed former Cincinnati Bengals center Eric Ghiaciuc . Keeping with the theme of many of the offseason signings, I didn't know anything about the guy. The Chiefs today signed veteran unrestricted free agent center Eric Ghiaciuc to a deal. The 6-foot-4, 303-pound Ghiaciuc made 42 starts for Cincinnati from 2005-08 after being drafted in the fourth round by the Bengals in 2005. The Bengals drafted center Jonathan Luigs of Arkansas in the fourth round Sunday.
The other centers on the Chiefs’ roster are Wade Smith, a seven-year veteran, and Rudy Niswanger, a four-year vet who started 15 games last season for Kansas City.
