PSV Eindhoven defender Erik Pieters and Netherlands undergone surgery on his arm, which he cut open a window after punching sent 3-1 home defeat to his team by PEC Zwolle.
PSV said Saturday Pieters has suffered “some damage to her underarm arrangements” with his furious reaction to a second half red card Friday night. Clubs did not elaborate on the injury.
Club said in a tweet that PSV medical staff assessed” in the coming weeks “how long Pieters will recover.
