Miranda Kerr struts her stuff down the David Jones Spring Summer 09 collection. Those swimmers are a little tight... (August 4, 2009 - Photo by Photo Agency)  This week we saw Miranda Kerr strutting the catwalk in bathing suits, rather than her usual Victoria Secret lingerie.  Seems like it's working out for her.  We also found out that Jack Nicholson will smoke just about anywhere.  With Laura Ling and Euna Lee returning home, and Maria Sharapova striking some cool poses while playing tennis, you've got a downright cheerful week in pictures.  Enjoy! That statement was a tweet from Twitter member SUPREMESMITH . The statement shocked me and I just had to read more. Her mission is to help the homeless and links to a Las Vegas web site aptly named www.streetteens.org . “There are 400 teens homeless in Las Vegas and 200,000 in the United States of America” she claims. I know there are homeless everywhere, including here in the UK, but I found the average age and the numbers absolutely shocking. A nation that fails its children is failed nation. I'm as happy as anyone else that journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee are home from North Korea after being pardoned and spared 12 years of hard labor in a prison camp. But I think it's crazy that they were in North Korea in the first place. I understand they were gathering material for a story about the trafficking of young N K women into China. Whatever the story is behind that it must be awful and from a moral standpoint needs to be out there. But why take the risk by traveling to a hostile country that the world isn't getting along with ... Read Full Story

Imprisoned journalists Laura Ling and Euna Lee were freed from North Korea's clutches in August. One week later, Ling—the more telegenic one, with the famous sister—was shopping a book.
