Eunice Workman -- Found dead in home after 7 years
Workers going through the woman's house found her dead body buried underneath debris. Police are now investigating what exactly happened to Workman.
From an Oakland Tribune article:
The body of a woman who had been missing for seven years was found in a North Oakland home Wednesday evening by relatives of the owners of the two-story house.
Eunice Workman, an elderly woman, had been living in the house in the 800 block of 47th Street for about a decade. Her body was found under some debris at the house, authorities said.
An autopsy is being conducted today to determine the cause of death.
Her stepson Larry Workman said his family owns the house.
He called 911 to alert authorities that the body had been found by Eunice Workman's daughters in a second-story bedroom about 5 p.m. while the family was cleaning out the house.
Police were on the scene Wednesday night investigating the discovery. They had not identified the remains.
Anyone with information is asked to call Oakland police at 510-238-3821.
