Eunice Workman died in her Oakland CA home, but wasn't discovered for over 7 years because her body was hidden by piles of junk. Police thought that Eunice Workman was missing as of December 2002. It now appears that a pile of junk fell on Eunice Workman, trapping her and also hiding her body in her own home.

Eunice Workman -- Found dead in home after 7 years

Eunice Workman had been missing for seven years before workers found her buried underneath debris in her North Oakland home The missing person case of Eunice Workman was finally solved. Reported missing seven years ago, no one had ever discovered what became of the elderly Oakland woman.

The body of a woman who had been missing for seven years was found in a North Oakland home Wednesday evening by relatives of the owners of the two-story house.

Eunice Workman, an elderly woman, had been living in the house in the 800 block of 47th Street for about a decade. Her body was found under some debris at the house, authorities said.

An autopsy is being conducted today to determine the cause of death.
Her stepson Larry Workman said his family owns the house.

He called 911 to alert authorities that the body had been found by Eunice Workman's daughters in a second-story bedroom about 5 p.m. while the family was cleaning out the house.

Police were on the scene Wednesday night investigating the discovery. They had not identified the remains.
