Welcome to the May 7, 2007 edition of heroes in our midst.

shedwa presents shedwa: NYC Subway Hero Does Good posted at shedwa.

Today, a number of our four-legged friends will be honoured at the Purina Hall of Fame for various acts of courage or life-saving action. Samuri, a blind Akita, was instrumental in saving the life of a young woman who had had a stroke and collapsed on the street.

At this point, I would also like to remember our soldiers. If you would like to write a letter or send a care package to our men and women in the Middle East, you can send it to:
