Quest for Yuki's Pending Birthday

Yesterday I visited a gourmet pet shop called La Bone Avenutre Pet Spa in Cooper City. A picture of a doggy canoli pastry on their website prompted me to call and find out more. I was amazed when I found out that they ssell handmade natural birthday cakes for dogs as well as natural pastry treats. It sounded too good to be true and I just had to see for myself, so after leaving work, I sprang into action. I gathered up Yuki and headed for La Bone. I was in a race against time because they closed at 6:30pm but I made it with some time to spare with pet in one piece.

The owners of La Bone had their brood of the cutest small dogs, maltese, yorkies and shih tzu's all running around the shop and playing nicely together. I must say that I was a nicely surprised because I never thought that those breeds would get along well, but they do. The shop was very clean, shelves neatly stocked and the owners are very knowledgeable about the products that they sell.

I bought a birthday cake and four cookie type treats for Yuki. Let me tell you, he had a ball when we got home. I fed him a home cooked meal and then gave him his treats. Well he just about went to town on those treats and all that's left is a cookie and a half.

Other services at La Bone include a pet spa/grooming service that I might try though I am a little hesitant since Yuki had a very bad experience with the grooming services at Pet Smart. Though they cater to all dogs, I most appreciate that they specifically cater all the discerning needs of the small dogs.
