After reading so many rave reviews from fellow beauty bloggers about the new Nano Silver Collection from Conair, well, I just had to get. And I did. I bought the Infiniti Nano Silver by Conair™ Tourmaline Ceramic™ Hair Styler for myself for Christmas as my old one (with it’s cool retractable cord) was no longer working that well… and it kept frizzing my hair too. Not that great.

What I liked was all the attachments that came with it. Most blow dyers are just the dryer and maybe the straightening cone if you’re lucky.  With this one you got:

# Nano Silver Tourmaline Ceramic™ Coated Straightening Pic

# Slim, angled design concentrator for pinpoint styling

# Unique adjustable diffuser

The coated Pic attaches easily, and has teeth on the end to comb through as you dry. I personally like just using my round brush as I dry to straighten, but I found that this worked well. Only thing is you have to get used to the extra length (the pic is fairly long) at the end of your blow dryer as you work through your hair… so you find yourself holding it a bit differently to get to spots.. but other than that it worked.

You also get the concentrator (or as I called cone before) to attach, which works great and the adjustable diffuser.  The adjustable diffuser has two settings. With blowing air and with less blowing air. I had hoped it would be air and just heat but the closed setting just causes less air to blow through and dry.  If you’re looking to diffuse your curls, just avoid the open setting all together (you really don’t need it and you’ll find that it will frizz your curls).  Why they bothered to do this is beyond me, but used closed, it works fine.

I also noticed that my fine, long hair dried fairly quickly (about 5 minutes) instead of the normal maybe 10.  Great when you’re time stuck in the morning.

Overall I was really happy with my purchase.  All the extra tools makes this a great deal and the time saving tourmaline dryer sure gets brownie points. It also looks chic and if you have a white bathroom, well, you just color coordinated yourself…

I’m now truly tempted to purchase the Cord/Cordless 1 1/2″ Straightening Iron. How ingenious is this? And only $68.00.

30-Second Instant Heat-up Cord / Cordless

* Power base quickly heats unit for easy cordless styling

* Plug cord directly into unit for uninterrupted use

* Suction cups keep base secure

Now this I haven’t seen yet, but I sure want this one……
