The best exercises to lose belly fat and trim your belly and waistline. Lose a couple of pounds and strengthen your core. You'll feel so much healthier and livelier - it's just a matter of sticking with the exercises until they feel more natural and comfortable. Once your stomache muscles get a bit stronger, it'll become easier and easier to maintain a trimmer belly.

3 Ways to Waste Your Money on Ab Exercise Equipment

Having those sexy six pack abs you so desire is quite attainable once you understand how your body works and what has the most impact.

With all those ab gadgets and exercise miracle machines it's hard to really determine which ones are really going to give you the results you want and which ones will waste your precious time and money.

That's why I've decided to give you 3 ways to spend too much money on ab exercise equipment, hoping this will keep you from doing it.

1. Buying some ab roller contraption as seen on those late night infomercials instead of buying a stability ball.

This is what those ab gimmicks DON'T do:

- work your entire core (no matter what they say)

-burn belly fat

-give you better results than a basic crunch that can be done without the machine for free

What the stability ball DOES do:

-causes you to utilize even the deepest of your core muscles to balance yourself during your routines

-it's very versatile and can be used in a variety of exercises to get rid of belly fat

-works all of your core muscles at once (from your abs to your back)- far more than you can reach doing a basic crunch

2. Not using the equipment you buy (or not using it enough).

So I know this seems very obvious but there are plenty of people out there that do this and let the machine sit in a spare room as clutter. Maybe they expected something else, maybe it's a pain to return it, maybe they couldn't make the time or get energy to use it; either way, it becomes a dust collector.

On the flip side, I've known people who buy ab machines, use them quite a bit at first, then here and there but then give up because they're not getting the results they were promised or they don't look like the professionally trained fitness model shown on the infomercial. (Think about it, do you really believe those fitness models got the bodies they have by using an ab roller gadget?)

3. Not eating the foods of a healthy diet.

My saying for losing fat and getting your six pack abs to show is DIET IS KING! This weight loss factor is extremely responsible for the inches of belly fat you have (or don't have) on top of your abs.

If you eat junky processed foods, it doesn't matter how hard you work out, you won't get the results you want and you'll be wasting your time just burning off the crappy food you eat. You'll be in a constant cycle and won't get any significant results.

If you eat too little (say if you're on a "low" whatever diet or you think starving yourself will make you lose belly fat) then you're doing more harm than you think.

By not eating enough, you're not feeding your muscles so you end up losing muscle mass. Your muscles are supposed to convert fat to use for energy but if they're not well-fed, your body will end up using the muscle itself for fuel.

So basically, no matter how hard you work out on your stability ball, or any piece of exercise equipment for that matter, your body will always end up using the muscle you work hard at building for energy, not for fat loss.

If you want to waste time and money on dead-end routines that won't help you lose belly fat, then buy all the ab gimmicks you want.
However, I know because you're reading this, that is not you. So please don't fall for these traps when purchasing ab exercise equipment.
