We all dream of being in possession of the perfect set of six pack abs but how many of us actually know how to get them? Judging from a quick look around I'd say not that many. Getting a flat stomach doesn't have to require a huge commitment on your part, don't get me wrong you will have to work to achieve the desired results but it isn't as bad as you might think. Learning how to lose belly fat is the 1st step that any future 6 pack owner must take.
As a personal trainer I've seen many fad diets come and go. A few were so good that I still advise my clients to use these diet plans to help them achieve their goals. Let me dispel a few myths about diets right away.- Diets are not the end all be all for flat stomachs. They are very beneficial especially when combined with supplements and a workout regime. You will never have a flat stomach without work.
- Diets are not a cure all. They will not necessarily mend broken bones or cure cancer but should be helpful when used responsibly.
- Diets are easy. Of course the majority aren't, that's why everyone is still trying to lose weight. If it were easy we'd all be built like super models.

Please don't rush out to the nearest gym and sign up just yet. To effectively lose the belly you'll need a solid aerobic workout routine that you do every day. Why? It gives your metabolism a boost and increases your stamina. Secondly you'll need to do sit-ups, crunches and leg lifts every day. Sounds like actual work now doesn't it? Well it is. Thirdly, jump rope. Again metabolism and stamina come in to play.

Now as far a supplements go I recommend you see a qualified nutritionist on this one or even your doctor. Everyone's chemistry is a little bit different and everyone reacts differently to supplements. I have a few I recommend but I always counsel my clients in the presence of a nutritionist in case I miss something important.

Diet, well I said it was the easiest part and it truly is. There is one diet I have recommended above all other because it seems to fit people's lifestyles the best. My clients never complain that they feel deprived or feel like they are making a huge sacrifice when on this diet. Some of my clients enjoy being on the diet so much that they never actually stop dieting! Can you imagine that?
