Day one of the Tour de France is now complete.  Fabian Cancellara won the initial time trial for Saxo Bank.  He ws followed by Tony Martin who set the pace early in the day.  David Millar, Lance Armstrong, and Geraint Thomas round out the rest of the top 5. 38 year old Lance Armstrong had perhaps the best performance of the day, given that he beat Alberto Contador by 5 seconds.
