You heard right: Tinker Bell is getting a movie of her own this October. Although it’s going to be a direct-to-DVD release, I’m hopeful that it will turn out all right. In the last several years, Disney has developed a disgusting habit of milking (and ruining) Disney classics with cheap sequels. It sounded like the Tinker Bell movie was going to be a perfect example of this, too. In my search for pretty fairy drawings, I found this. Although the butterfly wings technically makes this lady a fairy, and this is a site for fairies, I have to say mostly appreciate the girl herself–the pose, the expression, the shading, the way her long hair drapes around her. I even like how Zindy went to the trouble to lightly texture the background, giving the appearance of clouds behind the fairy. She was drawn by Zindy S. D.
