Fall Fashion: Posh Grunge

Why is it that the grass is always greener on the other side? In the wanting that which we don't have, we find yet another trend for fall fashion: Posh Grunge. This isn't the grunge we indulged back in the '90s. No, this grunge carries an actual price tag and is littered with designer names.

The look is a mismash of patterns, plaids of course being the most ubiquitous. But try stripes, paisley and leopard together, it worked for the models at Tracy Reese.

Leggings are great but if you wear hosiery, please be sure to rip it to shreds the way designer Alexander Wang wants it. Another essential component of the look, besides the attitude it requires, is a great pair of boots - wear 'em short like the models at Peter Som or knee-high like the wellies at Nicole Miller. The quest here is to pay a lot of money to look like you have none. For those of us suffering current economic distress, we won't have to try all that hard.
